“ I had a craving. Brussels sprouts. I know, I know but lord! These might just be the very best I've ever had! I'm coming back again and and going to try something else as well but I literally just ordered them and then asked for another. Perfection! ”
“ Anything I have ever ordered here is amazing! The staff is always so friendly and it is such a cute little place. The Brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had ”
“ Food was good. A little pricey for me but..... our server Daniel was very good. Kept coming over to check on us. Overall, Very Good. Highly recommend the kale salad. ”
“ This unassuming place where you could order cuts of meat also has a small intimate dining area. Off the block in sayville was delicious. We started with the kale Caesar salad that had aged asiago cheese and garlic breadcrumbs, toasted to perfection, followed by the house special, which was fried chicken with macaroni and cheese and Mexican corn. My wife had truffle dry rub wings and everything was just so yummy! Highly recommend. ”
“ Wow! This is a hidden gem. Service & food are outstanding! We had the fish of the day over cous cous, fresh and light. The gremolade was so fabulous! Mac and cheese to die for! ”
“ This place is a local gem! It seems like every seat in this place is filled everytime I go- and for good reason. The burgers and fried chicken are INCREDIBLE at Off the Block! The brussells sprouts and fries are life changing. Not only this, but the restaurant also acts as a butcher. So you can get top quality cuts here to bring home as well. If you've never been here you are missing out big time. ”
“ Took myself out to a marvelous lunch at this Sayville butcher shop and eaterie, which I'd had my eye on for a long time. Too long! Because it's awesome. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in, and led to a lovely table. Within minutes I was sipping a silky glass of Rioja. To start, i tried the baby beet and arugula salad with apples, radish, walnuts, whipped feta and sage-citrus dressing, which was full of great flavors and textures. Loved it. Next up was the main attraction I'd read so much about, the rightly acclaimed steak au poivre sandwich with Gorgonzola and frizzled onions on rosemary bun. I relished every meat, savory bite. I would've perhaps preferred that the accompanying fries were steak fries instead of super crispy thin fries, but they were still very tasty. I'll be back ”
“ Pretty solid place. This place was in the area by where I working. Cute inside that features a butcher shop and a restaurant opted for the counter seat both times. I think I prefer the pastreuben to the chicken wrap. And the side salad to the fries. I will be back to try more of the menu. Service is nice and friendly. ”
“ Came here with my husband since we had a gift card. Veryyy small seating are but was nice and cozy. Staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We were lucky to snag the last open table and didn't have a wait. I'm gluten free and there was no gluten free bun so I had my burger bun-less. It came with fries. Both were good, a little too salty overall for my taste, but we'll made. I would definitely return. ”
